What you see is NOT what you Get

The Power BI Service does not render reports as they look in Desktop.  Here's one comparison:

Desktop

Service (Both in workspace and App)

  • The red box (an image) is higher in the service
  • All the data doesn't fit on the service (note the vertical scroll bar and the last line chopped)

It is really frustrating, especially when trying to add info buttons on table column headers or vertical lines on the table to segregate different field categories.  You get everything all lined up beautifully in the desktop only to have a user complain that the button or line is covering data on the service.  Come on, Microsoft, there's no excuse for this.

Hi @dld0qxz

May I ask if you have resolved this issue? If so, please mark the helpful reply and accept it as the solution. This will be helpful for other community members who have similar problems to solve it faster.

Thank you.

As I remarked on 4/22/25, you have not resolved the issue.  Telling me to use paginated reports is not a solution to this issue and I won't lead others to believe that they will find an answer here.  I have followed too many of those "accepted solutions" only to be disappointed.

Hi @dld0qxz ,
As @lbendlin mentioned we have to use paginated reports for pixel perfect rendering that will most likely resolve your issue.
If this solution helps, please consider giving us Kudos and accepting it as the solution so that it may assist other members in the community
Thank you.

That is NOT a resolution so I won't flag it as such.

Neither Power BI Desktop nor Power BI Service give any rendering guarantee.  If you need pixel perfect rendering, use paginated reports. That's what they are designed for.
