Power App embedded in Power BI - Unable to open hyperlinks on iPad

I have a "dashboard" of sorts that I've built within Power Apps (better visualization options to make things feel like an "app"). The Power App is embedded into a Power BI report that hasn't given me any trouble on the web version or generally speaking on the iPad. However, I do have a button within the Power App (embedded into the Power BI report) that is a hyperlink that will send you to another website. The button is programmed with OnSelect to Launch(ThisItem.'Link') and it works without issue when viewing on the web/desktop version, however, it does not work when it is being accessed on an iPad. This occurs when using the Power BI Mobile App as well as when accessing in a web browser on the iPad. 

Any ideas on how to remedy this issue? Thanks!

There was a bug on Power Apps that got fixed today. I would give it a try again (version 3.25051.12 has the fix).

Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Fabric Community Forum.

When you embed a Power App inside a Power BI report and try to open a link (using the Launch() function) on an iPad, it often doesn’t work. That’s because iPads and mobile browsers block pop-ups and new tabs from embedded apps like Power Apps inside Power BI. It’s a known limitation due to security and browser restrictions.

We can do a few workarounds:

1. Test the button outside Power BI
   Try using the same Power App on its own (not inside Power BI) on the iPad. If the link opens there, then the issue is with Power BI’s embedded mode.
2. Use a Power BI button instead
   If possible, move your link button out of the Power App and use a regular Power BI button. These work better and can open links even on iPads. Instead of placing the hyperlink within the Power App, consider adding a Power BI button directly in your report.

Configure this button with a Web URL action pointing to your desired link.
