Hello,
I would like to know how to maintain the Dataflow connectivity to the database when one user takes control of the Dataflow from another. Currently, every time a new user takes control, we have to unlink the database connectivity and re-establish the connection. How can we manage this process without resetting the connection each time?
Thanks,
Dipankar
Solved! Go to Solution.
Unfortunately, based on my understanding; it is not posisble to retain the old crednetails when someone takes over the dataflow.
Every time the credentials needs to be updated whenever there is a takeover aspect
Hi @Dipankar0622
Thank you for being part of the Microsoft Fabric Community.
Instead of using individual user credentials, use a dedicated service account or managed identity. This way, the Dataflow always uses the same pre-configured credentials stored securely (like in a secret manager), so the connection remains active even when control shifts between users. This method reduces downtime, enhances security, and eliminates the need to update credentials each time.
If the above information is helpful, please give us Kudos and mark the response as Accepted as solution.
