Hello,
Does anyone know why Set Alert option is not visible for Power BI visuals? I checked the prerequisites and seems I meet them all. I have access to create Fabric items (I can create a Data Activator item from scratch). My workspace is in Premium capacity and still cannot create alerts for simple tables. Is there any limitation in terms of workspace permissions? or anything else? I tried with both Power BI and Fabric workload selected and same issue.

Hi @dtjdtj,
Thank you for using Microsoft Community Forum.
Currently, data alerts can only be set on visuals that are pinned to a dashboard, not directly on report visuals (except through the new public preview feature, which is still limited).
Even with Premium capacity, alerts are supported only for specific visual types such as cards, gauges, and KPIs.
Tables and matrices do not support alerts, which explains why you're not seeing the option when working with a simple table visual.
To set an alert, you would need to pin a supported visual to a dashboard and then configure the alert from there.

Hi @dtjdtj,
Thankyou for the clarification! Since you're referring to the Reflex-based alerting in public preview, the discrepancy between tenants is likely due to feature availability and rollout settings.
Here are a few things to check Try:
Microsoft sometimes enables preview features progressively across tenants. One of your tenants may not have Reflex alerts fully rolled out yet.
In the admin portal, check whether Data Activator and Fabric preview features are enabled for both tenants.
If your tenants are hosted in different Azure regions, availability of Reflex might vary.
Ensure that the same license types (Pro or PPU) and workspace settings (like Fabric items and Real-time data features) are enabled.
Please Accept as solution if this meets your needs and a Kudos would be appreciated.
Thank you.

Hello,
Thanks for your answer! I'm trying to use the new preview feature for this which uses Reflex, but not clear which are the limitations. I have two different tenants which seem to be configured the same, same visual, but for one tenant I can set alerts and for the other I cannot. I didn't spot any difference, so I was trying to understand the limitations.

you can only set alerts on single measures, for example in card visuals.
