@Stinkys I opened it as a critical severity A with 24/7 support. after a few days they came to me and said it moved to the product team as it was out of their scope and many other users had the same issue.

Still not in their list of known issues. Can we all fill out tickets on this.

@willmasse. I received a message from Microsoft on this and they said the issue was due to the virtualization software for windows on arm. I use Parallels as my virtual machine provider to run windows 11 on my Mac. So they were saying that it was an issue with parallels and not power BI and therefore they closed the ticket and would not be adding it to the known issues list. Are you running windows arm on a virtual machine?

@tbuck No, I'm running it on an actual Windows ARM machine. A Dell XPS with the Snapdragon X Elite. I'll open a ticket.

@willmasse yes, please do and I would recommend opening it as a critical issue because this is a big problem that cannot go on addressed. Refer them back to this post so that they are aware of the other users with issues.

I raised the issue and this thread with some MS guys in the Reddit Fabric community and they didn’t even know about it. I was told that they now have a war room going with the desktop team to resolve the issue. It’s definitely not limited to parallels as I am running Surface with Snapdragon.

@Stinkys same for me; I am on a Snapdragon X Elite Surface Laptop 7th Edition and still stuck on the February 2025 version of Power BI Desktop.

Does any have a ticket number with MS on this issue? I opened a new support request and they said they did not see any issues posted or being worked on about this issue with PBI Desktop on ARM. Very concerning.
